The "TOW" (Turn Over Workgroup) - Optimizing the Building Turnover Process

College campuses frequently have the opportunity to move it to brand new, state-of-the-art buildings. However, turnover process of moving from the construction phase into the operational phase often tends to create some angst and trepidation among members of the facilities team who will be responsible for maintaining and operating the new building. This doesn’t not have to be the case. This presentation will suggest some ways, with proper planning, the turnover process can actually be exciting such that the future operators, maintainers (and occupants) can’t wait to “get the keys” to the building. The presentation will identify of key tasks from selecting the key stakeholders to down to selecting and purchasing the custodial equipment needed for the new building. The goal of this webinar is to provide useful information and guidance to help the facilities management organization streamline and optimize the turnover process to eliminate (or at least reduce) the stress of moving into a new building.
